District Collector K.V. Ramana terminated the services of a contractual staffer and six outsourced employees attached to YSR Regional Sports School in Kadapa.
Yoga instructor Ranganath Reddy and Bhaskar Reddy were removed on charges of provoking students to stage protests, supervisors Venkata Reddy and Bharathi for beating up students, grounds man Nagaraju for improper behaviour, computer operator Pushpa for wrong insurance money entries and nurse Kumari for dereliction of duties.
The action followed a series of agitations by student organisations. Kadapa District Sports Development Officer Basha Mohiuddin was given additional charge as special officer of the regional sports school in place of in-charge special officer Prasannanjaneyulu. Following a recent inquiry, former special officer Ramachandra Reddy was relieved of the post.
