Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau have recovered Rs. 50 lakh cash, half kg gold ornaments, Rs. 3 lakh fixed deposits certificates, documents pertaining to a petrol filling station, two cars and other properties during the inspection of the residence of DM&HO Komaram Balu at Hanamkonda in Warangal district.

It may be recalled that the ACB trapped the DM&HO and Swami, a clerk, while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 60,000 from a doctor for doing official favour in the transfer of his posting in Karimnagar town on Monday evening.

The ACB authorities conducted searches at the DM&HO’s house at Hanamkonda from Monday night to Tuesday morning and recovered the cash and other properties. ACB sources said searches would continue for another two to three days to unearth cash and other properties in Hyderabad.
