Just days after Sachin Tendulkar made news for adopting a village in Nellore district, Megastar Chiranjeevi seems to have taken a cue. The actor turned politician has reportedly adopted a village named Perupalam, near his native place, Mogalthur in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. As per the latest buzz, Chiranjeevi has adopted the village under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, a rural development and cleanliness programme, where each member of the Parliament is expected to adopt a village and look after its development.
Chiranjeevi is expected to visit the village soon and chalk out a plan for its development.
