Sesa Sterlite was in the limelight in Tuesday's session. At 2.40 pm it was quoting at Rs 247.25 on the NSE, up 3.91 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 237.95.
IDFC spurted 2.76 per cent at Rs 161.75. The stock had closed Monday's session at Rs 157.40.
Punjab National Bank trimmed some of its morning gains to quote at Rs 985.25. This was up 2.17 per cent on its previous close at Rs 964.35.
BHEL was also on the uptrend in the second half, notching up gains of 2.03 per cent at Rs 254.20 as against Rs 249.15 at close yesterday.
Bharti Airtel gained 1.96 per cent to trade at Rs 400.9. The stock closed the previous session at Rs 393.20.
