Baby crushed to death

LUDHIANA: Two days after a seventh standard student was killed in an accident outside her school on Jalandhar bypass, a truck crushed a eight-month-old boy after it fell from the lap of another child at Shimlapuri on late Monday evening. The deceased was identified as Raj Kumar, son of Gharu Ram of street number 7, in Shimlapuri.
Mohan Singh, investigating officer, Shimlapuri police station, said the baby boy was playing in the lap of five-year-old boy before it fell from his hands.A truck coming from the rear crushed the baby to death.
The driver has been arrested under section 304 A of IPC (causing death by negligence).
