This week's new album releases

Each title listed below will go on sale beginning Monday, November 17 or Tuesday, November 18 unless otherwise indicated.

Depeche Mode
Live in Berlin 2xCD+DVD LISTEN (Spotify)

The latest live offering from Depeche Mode is a double-disc set recorded during the band's 2013 world tour in support of Delta Machine. The set also includes a DVD with a two-hour concert film directed by Anton Corbijn, who has been collaborating with Depeche Mode since the 1980s. A deluxe edition of the release adds a second Corbijn-directed film, Alive in Berlin, which features a full concert plus interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and a two-song acoustic set recorded in a former German brothel.

Bryan Ferry
. Avonmore LISTEN (Spotify)

The 69-year-old Roxy Music frontman returns with his 14th (!) solo studio album this week. Co-produced by Ferry and Rhett Davies, Avonmore features contributions from Johnny Marr, Nile Rogers, Todd Terje, Mark Knopfler, Flea, Ronnie Spector, Maceo Parker, and Marcus Miller.

Ariel Pink

Pom Pom is the first solo release for L.A.-based musician Ariel Pink, who previously had released a string of albums backed by his band Haunted Graffiti. The 17-track set arrives via the 4AD label, which previously released Pink's most recent albums Mature Themes and Before Today.

TV on the Radio

The band's first LP since 2011's Nine Types of Light is also TVOTR's first release since the death of bassist Gerard Smith that year. The band's own Dave Sitek produced this 12-song set, and early reviews are positive, even if critics note that it isn't quite their best work.

Curated by Lorde, the soundtrack to the penultimate Hunger Games film includes new music from Lorde herself, plus Charli XCX (featuring Duran Duran's Simon LeBon and Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij), Major Lazer (with Ariana Grande), The Chemical Brothers (with Lorde and Miguel), Tove Lo, CHVRCHES, Bat for Lashes, Tinashé, and more.
