Director Trisha Pasricha’s documentary film, A DOCTOR OF MY OWN, examines a sustainable solution to the healthcare worker shortage sweeping across Sub-Saharan Africa: medical education. The film explores the emerging stories of Namibia’s inaugural medical students as they trek from the classroom to the countryside and encounter patients who have never before met a doctor from their own country.
Global Health Studies/IPD and the Program of African Studies invite you to a screening of this film on November 18th at 7PM at the PAS Conference Room, 620 Library Place.
Discussion with Director Trisha Pasricha to follow! Dinner served!
This event is part of International Education Week!
