Andrew Charter named in Kookaburras Champions Trophy squad

Canberra goalkeeper Andrew Charter has the chance to add a Champions Trophy title to his stellar year as he was named in Australia's squad to play in India next month.

The shot stopper has already had a season to remember after starring in the Kookaburra's dominant gold medal-winning campaigns at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and the World Cup in the Netherlands.

Goulburn striker Glenn Turner has made himself unavailable for international selection for the rest of the season to spend time with wife Rebecca after the couple got married on the weekend.

Australia has handed call-ups to youngsters Tom Craig, Matthew Dawson and Flynn Ogilvie as it attempts to defend its title in India from December 6-14.
