Nagarjuna in talks for a Mahabharata adaptation
Actor Nagarjuna may play a key role in a multi-lingual film,which is based on the Malayalam novel Randamoozham (Second Turn), by Jnanpith Award winner MT Vasudevan Nair. A source close to the actor confirmed that Nagarjuna was approached for a role, saying, ���The makers of the untitled film had approached Nag; however, the talks are still in the initial stages. It���s too early to talk about Nagarjuna���s role in the project.���
The novel retells the story of Mahabharata from Bhima���s point of view and is regarded as MT Vasudevan Nair���s masterpiece.
Rumour has it that ad filmmaker Sreekumar Menon will direct the film and that several top actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Mohan Lal and Vikram have been approached for the film, which is expected to be made in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and English. Now, it remains to be seen if Nagarjuna will join the star-studded cast of the epic film.
