Ohio Valley Bank, Hyosung create transformed model for new branch

Southern Ohio-based Ohio Valley Bank and Hyosung have partnered to introduce video banking technology in the FI's new branch in Barboursville, West Viginia, a news release said.

The community bank plans to implement Hyosung assisted branch transformation solutions that include the MX8800 terminal and the MS400A cash recycler. By diverting everyday transactions to this new self-service system, the bank expects to streamline daily branch operations and place additional focus on the customer.

"We are confident that the Hyosung banking solution will help us provide a more consumer-centric banking experience," said Ohio Valley Bank President and CEO Tom Wiseman in the release. "Our virtual banker shifts the focus of the branch staff so that they can build valued relationships with customers by better responding to their individual banking needs."

Hyosung Americas VP of product planning and marketing Mario Perottino said the company believes that, through assisted on-demand servicing, the bank's employees serve as higher level consultants.

Ohio Valley Bank customers can expect to see virtual banker in the Barboursville branch in February 2015.
