New Delhi: Four men came on two bikes- stopped near a trader's Swift car and shot him dead in Shahdara area of northeast Delhi on Friday night. The trader's friend, who was sitting in the car next to him, was injured whereas the driver escaped unhurt.   

Though the police tried to nab the bikers, the assailants fired back on them and fled away from the scene. In retaliation the police too fired but none was injured. Around 15 rounds were fired by the assailants in the shoot out.

The deceased has been identified as Shakir Ali (45) from Baghpat. His injured friend has been identified as Kamil (30) from Loni.

The police suspects personal enmity as the reason behind the incident. They are also investigating the role of the two men who were with Shakir at the time of murder.  

Police has recovered around 10 empty cartridges of 7.65mm from the spot.  Even, the mobile phone details of the trio are being scanned as well.
