History-sheeter shot at in Rajkot, police suspect story

RAJKOT: A history-sheeter out on parole till November 21 was hospitalized after he was allegedly shot by two unidentified persons on Saturday. However, police suspect 27-year-old Adil Junela's story and are investigating the matter.
Sources said that Adil is lodged in Rajkot jail for murder of Bilal Khan Pathan three years back. He alleged that he was shot at by two unidentified persons when he was standing near his house in Wankaner Society on Jamnagar Road.He called up the police from a private hospital.
However, police visited the spot and found details contradictory to his claims. People of the locality denied that any firing had taken place and the cops also failed to find blood marks at the scene of the crime. Adil has accused Pathan's family members of firing at him.
