The entire northeast is cold, but it’s especially cold in Minnesota, where the temperature at kickoff in TCF Bank Stadium was 15 degrees. The previous low temperature at TCF Bank Stadium was 18 degrees, set last year, and the Buckeyes broke a 50-year-old record.

The student section remained relatively empty, but it’s somewhat understandable given the conditions.

Ohio State held a 17-14 lead at halftime, but scored 14 unanswered points to take a big lead with 10 minutes remaining. Minnesota answered with a touchdown on its next possession, but the Buckeyes held out to move to 9-1 on the season.
