DPS bus turns turtle

UDHAMPUR, Nov 15: More than 40 students and around half a dozen teachers of Delhi Public School Udhampur had a miraculous escape when their bus turned turtle on the road after hitting divider on the National Highway near Tikri.
The mishap took place around 7.30 p.m. and the school bus, bearing registration number JK12B-2488 was on way to Udhampur from Jammu after an excursion tour.
Though it was a miraculous escape, six students and one teacher sustained minor injuries in the accident. They were provided first aid at Primary Health Centre Tikri.
Meanwhile, two sisters were injured in a collision between a Tempo Traveler and Truck near Kud on the National Highway.
The injured were identified as Nasima Banoo (12) and her sister Raziya Banoo (16), daughters of Gulam Husain of Gulgam Srinagar. They were traveling in Tempo Traveller, which met with the accident.
