There was much pomp and glamour at Bhopal Fashion Week 2014, with Raja Aditya Pratap Group as its presenting sponsor, which ended recently.
The two-day long event saw many designers showcase their collections of traditional and ethnic wear. The managing director of Bhopal Fashion Week, city-based fashion designer Nitya Singh, said, “This was the first edition of Bhopal Fashion Week.
The event was a huge success and it was a wonderful experience. We had an enthusiastic crowd on both days. I hope this trend of glamour coming to the city will continue in the coming years.”
The evening of Day 1 began with Bangalore-based designer Anil Hosmani’s collection, Rang Rasiya. The collection showcased ghaghras and anarkalis in hues of cream and gold. Miss India International 2010, Neha Hinge, was the showstopper for Hosmani’s show. Designer Sumit Das Gupta’s collection was of eveningwear gowns, anarkalis and churidaars. Former supermodel Alesia Raut walked the ramp for the designer. For Avesh Dadlani’s bridal collection, Miss India Earth 2012, Prachi Mishra, and Miss India World 2012 Vanya Mishra, were the showstoppers.
The second day saw Mumbai-based designer Sharad Raghav’s collection of Indo-fusion wear. TV actor Vishal Singh was the showstopper for his show. Designer Gagan Kumar’s collection showcased bridalwear in hues of red and orange. The Bhopal Fashion Week concluded with Nitya’s collection, inspired by Jodha Akbar. Miss India World 2009 Pooja Chopra was the showstopper for her show. Vivek Mahajan was the official photographer of the fashion week.
