Mahakumbh to go on air in December, replace Mahadev?
The upcoming show Mahakumbh, that stars Gautam Rode in the lead role, will go on air from December 15, say sources.
The upcoming show Mahakumbh, that stars Gautam Rode in the lead role, will go on air from December 15, say sources.
The show will also mark SeemaBiswas’ debut on the small screen. “The show will be a mythological thriller and is set in Banaras. The cast of the show finished the Banaras leg of the shooting before Diwali and currently, the shoot is underway in Mumbai where they have recreated Banaras,” says our source.

While, the time slot of the show is not yet confirmed, sources state that there are chances that the show might replace Devon KeDev... Mahadev. “The mythological show Devon Ke... has run its course and there is not much to explore in the story. The show will go off air in December or by early next year. There is a possibility that Mahakumbh might take the place of Devon Ke... in the 8pm slot,” adds our source. We texted Nikhil Sinha, producer of Devon Ke..., but he didn’t revert to our message.
