Prof. Francis Dodoo will serve another 4-year term in office as President of the Ghana Athletics Association, Allsports.com.gh can exclusively report.

The incumbent saw off the challenge of former Chairman, George Lutterodt in a close vote to retain his position for another four years.

Prof. Dodoo got 11 votes to the 8 of Mr, Lutterodt to run away with the victory following the elections voted for by 19 delegates.

Dr. Silvanus L. Lamptey who stepped down only this morning in the race for teh President to contest for the Vice President position was also successful after beating his challengers to become the new second in command of Ghana athletics.

Mr. Marc Dzradosi was also elected as the new Treasurer whilst Samuel Ayer was elected unoppsed as Organising Secretary.

All will serve a new four-year mandate that will see them supervise the country's participation in the next Olympic Games scheduled for Rio in 2016. Follow @thedonplato
