AFTER her surprise departure from Kaya FM, former TV presenter and model Claire Mawisa, pictured, will today resurface on a new broadcasting platform.

Mawisa was a producer for Kaya FM's drive time show, Kaya Central, and left under a cloud a few weeks ago. She tweeted on Sunday that her followers can catch her today at CliffCentral.com, where she will be standing in for Timothy Maurice.

She will present Unbranded, which airs on Tuesdays from 9am to 10am. The show looks into the roots of human beings and brand behaviour. When Sowetan approached her, Mawisa confirmed her gig.

"I have been asked to stand in for Maurice and it's a once-off thing," she said. "I am not planning to go to CliffCentral.com permanently. I am excited and look forward to the show."

The internet radio station owned by radio DJ Gareth Cliff was founded in May and has famous voices like those of Penny Lebyane and Hlubi Mboya.

Asked about her future plans, Mawisa would not reveal whether she was joining any radio station.

According to media reports, Mawisa was let go by Kaya FM because she had "diva" tendencies.
