‘The Osbournes’ returning to VH1

They’re ba-aaack: Clockwise from top, Sharon, Kelly, Jack and Ozzy Osbourne in Season 1 of “The Osbournes.”Everett Collection

To paraphrase Chandler Bing from “Friends”: Can TV get any more repetitive?

Fresh on the heels of Lisa Kudrow’s return in “The Comeback” and Fox’s reboot of “24” — after nine and four years, respectively — comes word that VH1 will revive “The Osbournes,” which was a big hit for MTV back in the days of dial-up Web service.

Sharon Osbourne broke the news of the show’s return on “The Talk” this past Tuesday, and VH1 will be the reboot’s new home, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“At most, there will only be six to eight episodes and a catch-up on our lives and where we are now,” Sharon said on “The Talk.” “Because it’s been so long since we’ve been seen as a family and our family has grown.

“We have a granddaughter and a gorgeous daughter-in-law.”

“The Osbournes” ran on MTV from 2002-2005 and scored big numbers as viewers followed the lives of addled, indecipherable Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, wife Sharon and their kids Jack and Kelly. (A third daughter, Aimee, did not participate.)

“It was all my husband’s doing,” Sharon Osbourne said on “The Talk.” “He looked back on his life and he said, ‘I wish we could have done ‘The Osbournes’ now where I’m clean and sober.’” Mission accomplished.
