Football league: Zabiullah scores brace for Afghan FC

Despite the win, Afghan FC are in sixth place with 16 points after 12 matches

ISLAMABAD:


Afghan FC defeated KPT 3-1 at the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) in Lahore yesterday. The Chaman-based club took an early lead, when captain Jadeed Khan scored in the fifth minute of the match, while Zabiullah struck another goal in the 45th as Afghan FC led 2-0 at the interval. 


Afghan FC continued to dominate the match as Zabiullah sealed the win for his team in the 49th minute. KPT managed a consolation through Junaid Qadir’s goal in the 74th minute.


Despite the win, Afghan FC are in sixth place with 16 points after 12 matches, while KPT  remain on fifth with 17 points after 11 matches.
