Milan (AFP) - Struggling Serie A giants Inter Milan announced the sacking of coach Walter Mazzarri on Friday.
A short statement by the club on Twitter said: "F.C. Internazionale announces that Walter Mazzarri has been relieved of his duties as coach of the first team squad."
The announcement follows reports that former coach Roberto Mancini, who won three league titles in a four-year spell with the club, was on the verge of signing a two-and-a-half year deal.
