          SCOTTSDALE, Arizona -- Lucas Duda's 30-homer season netted him an appearance on one of 30 NL MVP ballots.

          Hal McCoy of the Dayton (Ohio) Daily News voted Duda eighth on the 10-man ballot.

          Duda currently is in Japan with a team of MLB All-Stars.
