Nitish lashes out at Bihar BJP leaders
MOTIHARI: Former CM Nitish Kumar on his first day of Sampark Yatra reached here from Bettiah on Thursday with his long cavalcade like earlier Yatras and addressed a meeting of party workers at the local Zila school ground.
Criticizing the BJP leaders of Bihar, Nitish said, “They make false propaganda against me daily and it is their routine but I give it a damn.
They should take care of the state and do justice to the state.”
He said he has been here to talk directly to the workers and after this he will visit all assembly constituencies to talk directly to the voters. Allotments under Indira Awas Yojana, MANREGA, NH, road, education, and other schemes have been cut drastically by the Centre in Bihar, Nitish said. No small industries including sugar factories have been set up, he added.
Nitish said he has launched all his political yatras from the land of Champaran and this yatra too has been started from here because it is the workplace of Mahatma Gandhi where he experimented with his Satyagrah. He vowed to make Bihar a model state and for this his government did a lot for its all round development with justice. The law and order improved and he did his best for the socio-economic development of Mahadalits, poor, extremely backward community and women. As a result, Bihar got a new face in the country, he said and added, “After Lok Sabha elections our country and Bihar is facing challenge from communal forces.”
The special feature of this meeting was replaying the audio tapes of speeches of Narendra Modi in which he had assured the people to get back the black money stashed abroad within 100 days of coming to power, to give a special package to Bihar and job opportunities for unemployed youth.
State JD(U) chief Bashisth Narayan Singh while addressing the meeting described it as a very successful one and asked the party workers to go to villages and apprise of the real situation in the state.
