Cities sign promotional pact

Four cities, including Foshan in Guangdong province, Wuhan in Hubei province, Jingdezhen inf Jiangxi province and Kaifeng in Henan province have signed a cooperative framework agreement to promote regional culture, economic and tourism development.

As the four cities are well known for abundant traditional cultural resources, authorities have also jointly declared to further protect historical and cultural heritage, according to the Foshan government source.

According to the agreement, the four cities will push forward economic and trade development by boosting industrial integration and cooperation and increasing regional investment.

Foshan, Wuhan, Jingdezhen and Kaifeng were named China's Four Renowned Towns during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties for their rich cultural and economic development.
