“As part of the Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan, our school had conducted a lot of activities like essay & poster competition, cleanliness oath taking and a city clean up drive. My experience in these activities inspired me to participate in this competition and I am extremely excited to travel to Delhi to meet Mrs. Smriti Irani. My teachers and classmates also helped me a lot in developing my thoughts and framing my ideas for this competition. I’d like to dedicate this award to my city and urge every Indian to actively do their part in keeping the country clean “said Aman in a telephonic interview.

Speaking to the media the Principal , Mount Litera Zee School, Begusarai said “We often complain about lack of cleanliness but if we want to see change then as Gandhiji said, “We need to be the change”. To help create a cleaner India, it is imperative that every Indian, young and old, takes up this cause in right earnest and do their part to achieve this vision. Our children are our future and the zeal and passion they have demonstrated towards this initiative is a lesson for all of us to participate actively in making this dream come true. We are very happy for Aman and hope that he serves as an example to all the children in Begusarai and inspire them to achieve many more laurels for the city and the state.”

Mount Litera Zee School has always focused on connecting with the local community through various community driven initiatives like healthy heart, i-care programme for prevention of child abuse, world peace day and driving environmental consciousness in the community amongst many other initiatives. This is in line with their philosophy of creating socially responsible citizens for the 21st century. Aman is testament to this fact and is a torch bearer for the entire network to emulate.
