Minister of Health Says Will Work to Achieve Emir's Vision

Doha, November 12 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Public Health Abdullah Al-Qahtani said that the speech HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani before the 43rd session of the Advisory Council was comprehensive and establishes a comprehensive and sustainable development based on solid foundations to secure progress and growth for the current and future generations. In remarks today, HE the minister said the speech of HH the Emir addressed all the important issues in the areas of economy, development and international issues, promoting the active role of Qatar on the global level. He added that HH the Emir is keen on achieving progress and providing better services to citizens, believing that the citizen is development's core, goal and engine, and that the real investment is that in the citizen who is educated, healthy and capable of achieving real renaissance of the nation. He pointed that HH the Emir emphasized raising the efficiency of government spending in the annual budget for the year 2014-15 with directing a significant part of it for the implementation of major projects in the sectors of health, education, infrastructure and transportation, explaining that the total expenditure on these projects will exceed 50 percent of total expenses in general budget for this year. He noted that HH the Emir's emphasis, that the results evaluating is a part of implementing the strategies, confirms the determination on the efficient and effective implementation of plans and strategies. In conclusion, HE the minister of public health, said: "We will always strive to achieve HH the Emir's vision for an advanced home of which all citizens enjoy the best services and strongly contribute to its development.
