Gujarat CM launches VadFest website

VADODARA: Chief minister Anandi Patel recently launched the official website for Vadfest at Gandhinagar. VadFest (Vadodara International Arts and Culture Festival) 2015 is a 50-event-festival spread across four days beginning from January 23. The website, www.vadfest.com includes information about events, details of artists and performers, event dates and venues.
The website also allows pre-booking of the four main concerts. The event has been designed with an aim to promote Vadodara as a national cultural capital and boost tourism in the city. Vadfest will include performances of A.R Rahman, Yanni, Sivamani Trio, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Sonu Nigam, Asha Bhosle and Anupam Kher along with many other artists from various fields. Apart from performances from the artists, the festival will also host plays, food festivals, art and cultural festivals and heritage walks.
The state government is planning to promote the VadFest through social media across the country. The organizers said that local artists too will be promoted during the festival.?
