The schoolgirl passed away at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday noon, DMCH police outpost Inspector Mozammel Haq said.

Ashrafi Akter, who lived at Rampura, was a grade II student at local Khaled Haider Memorial School.

Her aunt Tanjila Akter Shila, 13, and their house tutor Ashraful Islam, 24, were also injured in the Nov 7 accident.

Shila is a grade VII student at the same school as Akter while Islam is a second-year student at Government Titumir College.
Police say gas was accumulated in a room which was closed for a long time and when Shila lit a matchstick out of curiosity it caught fire.
Although the fire was put out shortly, 28 percent of Akter's body and 36 percent of Shila's body burned, police said.
