Parvathaneni Brahmayya Siddhartha College of Arts and Science will organise a two-day seminar on ‘Cyber security with special focus on cyber crimes and laws’, on the college premises on November 15 and 16, said college principal M.V.N. Padma Rao.
University Grants Commission (UGC) and Department of Computer Science of the college is jointly organising the national-level seminar, said Mr. Rao at a press conference held here on Wednesday.
City Police Commissioner A.B. Venkateswara Rao will be the chief guest for the programme. Society for Electronic Transactions and Security (SETS), Chennai, registrar S. Thiagarajan, Cyber Society of India president Venkatraman Rajendran, vice-president V. Kapaleeswaran, secretary Ramesh Bhasyam and others will speak, said Siddhartha College director Vemuri Baburao.
Seminar coordinator and Computer Science head of the department K. Sridhar said the focus of the deliberations would be on ‘Cyber security present and future’, ‘Cyber security and laws’, ‘Future of technology: Cyber crimes scenario’ and related issues.
Research scholars, faculty and students of various colleges, police and banks personnel, advocates and participants from other professions would attend the programme.
