City based musicians venture outside the state
Gujarat might not have had a great indie music scene in the past, but that seems to be changing fast as a number of musicians from the state are expanding their horizons and venturing outside the state for performances.
Names like guitarist Aayushi Karnik and Divyang Arora, bands like Odyssey and Meghdhanush, and singer Thomas Albert and Shaili Shah have made their presence felt on various platforms performing live or going for recordings in Mumbai for different indie projects.

And this seems like a good sign for upcoming artists who might find inspiration from these pioneers. While Gujarat is still developing when it comes to organizing music festivals, which are right now restricted to mostly college fests, these musicians are breaking boundaries and reaching out to the audiences outside of Gujarat as well.
