And no one is in any doubts about who the `legend' is as Govinda takes the floor. In a glitzy dinner jacket and sunglasses, the actor dazzles with his trademark pelvic thrusts and hooks, his hip swingers and bosom bangers. “There were times when his costars, Saif (Ali Khan) and Ileana (D'Cruz), would stop short, bang in the middle of a take, and watch him, wide-eyed, till I reminded them that the camera was still whirring.
Then, with a sheepish smile they'd say they were mesmerized by Chi-Chi. He even stopped the other dancers in their tracks,“ reminisces the song's choreographer, Remo D'Souza.

Remo admits that Govinda is the reason for the song becoming a favourite of his. Interestingly, the song was conceived as a club number in San Francesco, with Saif and Ileana in mind. But once they got back to Mumbai, the producers had a discussion with the director duo, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, and it was decided that Govinda will be included too.Remo who has directed the dancing star earlier in a song in Shikari and two songs in Do Not Disturb, couldn't have been happier! “Govinda is Bollywood's best male dancer and definitely the fastest learner. And the reason he stands out from the crowd is because his faces expresses exactly what his moves demonstrate,“ asserts the dance master who is as overwhelmed as everyone else by Govinda's youthful looks and amazing footwork.
Knowing Govinda, the dancer, Remo gave him his trademark moves--the typical matka jhatkas that he is known for--but also mixed in a few contemporary steps. And how did Govinda react to these new moves? “He doesn't say much, doesn't ever offer suggestions, just smiles or laughs when you demonstrate the step. If he smiles it means it's a cakewalk and he'll do what you expect in 30 seconds flat. A laugh means it's a little more difficult and will take him an extra 30 seconds. But there's nothing he can't pull off in one minute. In G Phaad Ke he loves the signature step but it was the solo on a dais which was the real challenge,“ asserts Remo who after wrapping up G Phaad Ke in two days has told the “amazing“ Govinda that he wants to direct one song in every film he does henceforth.

Has the actor changed much in all these years? Remo admits he has. “During Shikari he was in his elements but during Do Not Disturb he was slightly more reserved because he was going through a career low. But that bad phase seems to be over and when we picturised G Phaad Ke, it was like having the old Govinda back,“ he beams.
