Bollywood directors taking keen interest in TV

Many filmmakers are now associated with TV shows either directly or as creative consultants. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ashutosh Govariker, Vikram Bhatt, Abhinay Deo, Rohan Sippy, Anurag Kashyap and such talented filmmakers have been associated with some interesting shows as hosts, director or producer.
Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt says, "I feel TV is much better than cinema. It’s better to do television than making a B-grade or a C-grade film.It has a wide reach and loyal viewers too"

Rohan Sippy, a filmmaker who also has plans for associating as a producer with a TV show says, "Well its incredibly powerful and wider than our films, feature films satellite rights and TV has more viewers than cinema. Huge audience out there who watch TV. While in the west you have a great creative pool involved with TV, Indian television is also getting there. We had shows like Buniyaad, Tamas, so such shows should be back now."
