Jin Air to use B777-200ER on Incheon-Guam route

(MENAFN) South Korea's low-cost carrier Jin Air Co. said it will use the wide-body large-range B777-200ER on its Incheon-Guam route starting December 12, tripling the number of seats offered, Yonhap reported.

The budget subsidiary of Korean Air Lines Co., the country's largest full-service flag carrier, said the twin-engine plane will replace the smaller B737-800 jets currently used on the route.

This move is expected to give the cargo a 60 percent market share on the route among South Korean airlines. All flights will take off from Incheon International Airport, west of Seoul.

"There will be daily daytime flights linking Incheon with Guam, with overnight flights to start December 18 to flexibly meet demands of travelers," a Jin Air official said in a statement.
