AAHOA Applauds New U.S.-China Visa Policy for Tourists
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 10, 2014 -- The Asian American Hotel Owners Association applauds the new 10-year visa policy between the United States and China, as it will boost tourism and strengthen the economy.
The plan, which was announced Monday, will allow citizens of each nation to travel between the two countries for up to 10 years on one visa. Currently, travelers between U.S. and China can only receive a one-year visa.
“AAHOA is an enthusiastic supporter of international tourism, which creates jobs and gives our economy a major boost,” AAHOA Chairman Pratik Patel said. “We applaud this new visa policy, and we are confident that it will help strengthen our economy while meeting the increased demands of international visitors.”
The White House predicts the new policy will create as many as 440,000 U.S. jobs by 2021. Additionally, visitors from China are expected to contribute $85 billion a year to the U.S. economy by 2021.
As the largest hotel owners association in the world, AAHOA is excited about a policy that will not only be a boon for our members, but will also greatly benefit the country as a whole.
Founded in 1989, AAHOA is the largest hotel owners association in the world, with more than 13,500 small business owner-members.
