Betul student found hanging in tribal hostel

BHOPAL: A student of Class VII was found hanging in a government-run pre-matric tribal hostel at Ranipur in Betul district on Saturday evening.
Out of a strength of 51 inmates, when only 50 were found at the time of counting, hostel staff began searching for the child only to find Akash, 13, who was a resident of Chhatarpur village in the district, hanging in his room.SP Betul district Sudhir Laad said, "After mother of the kid died a year ago, her father remarried. Prima facie it appears that kid was not happy with his step-mother."
Actual reason will be known only after investigations, he said.
