Raila Odinga: No planned meeting with Magerer, Ababu and Mung’aro

NAIROBI, KENYA: ODM leader Raila Odinga has denied media claims of a planned meeting with embattled official Magerer Langat and MPs Ababu Namwamba and Gideon Mung’aro.

A statement from Raila’s spokesman Denis Onyango said: “ODM leader has not scheduled any meeting with the party’s Executive Director Mr Magerer Langat and MPs Mr Ababu Namwamba and Gideon Mungaro”.

Onyango said the only meeting taking place on ODM matters this week is that of the disciplinary committee formed to look into the events of Thursday 30th October 2014 at Orange House that saw the eviction of Mr Langat from a party meeting.

In his statement Onyango said ODM will implement recommendations from disciplinary committee in a transparently and faithfully manner.

The spokesman also discounted reports that Raila and Kalonzo called Magerer, Ababu, Mung’aro and Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua who had a meeting in Mombasa early this week.

“Neither Raila nor his counterpart Mr Kalonzo Musyoka made any calls to any of the CORD leaders who met in Mombasa a few days ago” wrote Onyango.
