An Open Army Recruitment Rally will be conducted under the aegis of the Army Recruitment Office here at the Indoor Stadium and Police Parade Ground near Collectorate at Eluru in West Godavari district from June 7 to 13.
The recruitment will be for the posts of Soldier Technical, Soldier Nursing Assistant, Soldier General Duty, Soldier Tradesman, Soldier General Duty (Non-Matric) and Soldier Clerk/Soldier Store Keeper. The minimum age for all categories is 17 years and six months and the maximum age limit for some categories is 21 years and for others it is 23 years.
Candidates from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari and the Union Territory of Yanam are eligible to appear for most of the categories at the recruitment rally. Some categories of posts are, however, restricted for candidates from only some of these districts.
Col. Tushar Roy, Director, Recruiting, Army Recruiting Office, advised candidates to prepare themselves for the one mile run and practice pull ups on beam to secure maximum marks. He cautioned them against falling prey to touts and agents.
