Woman, along with her paramour arrested for killing her husband

KANPUR: A woman was arrested along with her paramour for allegedly killing her husband in Farrukhabad district for objecting to her extra-marital affair.
Divya along with her lover Anantram Rajput, a resident of Mohammadabad Nagla Tara locality, suffocated her husband, Hakim Singh alias Brijesh Rajput, to death on the night of Friday. The body of Hakim Singh was found wrapped in a bedsheet in one of the rooms of his house and the duo was arrested by the police on Saturday morning.
Anantram Rajput, who resides in the neighbourhood, had developed illicit affair with Diyva-a mother of three children, few months ago. SHO Mohammadabad said, "Divya and Anantram initially forced Hakim to consume dye, when he offered resistance, the duo brutally attacked him and strangled him to death. They hid the body into another room and tried to escape but were apprenhended by Kripa Rajput - father of Divya's paramour."
Kripa further informed locals who alerted the local police following which cops rushed to the spot and recovered the body and registered a murder case.
When police questioned Hakim's wife, she spilled the beans. The SHO said Diyva had earlier also tried to eliminate her husband with the help of her paramour.
Her paramour's father had registered a case of murder at Mohammadabad police station.
"Divya didn't like Hakim's constant objection to her extra-marital affair. Furious over this, she called her paramour Anantram to her house on Friday night and hatched a plot to kill her husband. "The duo suffocated Hakim to death before forcing him to consume dye", said a senior police officer.
Divya, a mother of three children, was married to Hakim in 2009.
