PEC Zwolle moved level on points with third-placed Feyenoord in the Eredivisie standings thanks to a 2-0 win over FC Groningen on Saturday.

Zwolle were reduced to 10 men in the 78th minute when Tomas Necid was sent off, but a fifth-minute own goal from Groningen right back Johan Kappelhof and a 58th minute effort from Necid was enough to see the home side to victory.

Elsewhere, ADO Den Haag defeated Willem II 3-2.

Mathias Gehrt opened the scoring in the second minute before Michiel Kramer (35) added a second before the break. Stijn Wuytens (51) and Samuel Armenteros (62) drew Willem II level but ADO claimed the win thanks to Roland Alberg's 73rd minute goal.

Heerenveen came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Go Ahead Eagles.

Marnix Kolder (21) and Alex Schalk (29) put the Eagles 2-0 ahead at half-time but Daley Sinkgraven (49) and substitute Jukka Raitala (84) made sure the points were shared.

In Saturday's other game, Nemanja Gudelj's 57th-minute goal was enough for AZ Alkmaar, who defeated NAC Breda 1-0.
