INDORE: Assistant principal of Jhabua district primary school has accused former Congress MLA from Petlavad Wal Singh Meda of raping his wife and threatening to kill his family members.
The Jhabua superintendent of police Krishnaveni Desavatu has ordered probe into the matter by the SDOP Jhabua. "The matter has come to us. An inquiry has been ordered in the case. Appropriate action will be taken if the allegations are found true.
So far, no case has been registered," said SP Desavatu.
The complainant Shankar Singh in his application to the SP, Jhabua alleged that Wal Singh Meda took his wife to Jhakela village and raped her. "My children told me that Wal Singh used to come home in my absence. My wife told me that he forcibly raped her and threatened to kill his family if she uttered a word against his deed. Now, my wife is supporting him, and threatening to kill me," said Singh in his application.
He further said that the alleged illicit relationship of former MLA with his wife is giving a wrong impression and is harming his and his children's image.
"Meda has saved a sleazy video of my wife in his mobile. He has kept my wife at some secret location and she has not returned home since October 21. As Meda is a prominent leader, police is not taking any action against him," wrote Singh in his complaint to the SP.
Singh got married in 1998 and has two sons and a daughter from his wife Sabudi.
