DTM Legal adds Liverpool partner

DTM Legal has added a partner to its Liverpool office and promoted a lawyer to associate after the firm posted its "best financial performance to date".

Kate Roberts, who joined the firm in January from Greenhalgh Kerr, has been made a partner while specialist employment lawyer Tom Evans is now an associate.

The firm is headquartered in Chester and employs 27 staff there. It launched in Liverpool last year and now has eight staff at its office in The Plaza.

Chief Executive Mark Trousdale said: "The promotion of two of the senior team is a consequence of our Liverpool growth across the full spectrum of legal advice on issues including corporate, commercial property, employment, intellectual property, business recovery and disputes.

"There's no question that the legal market in the city region is in flux at the moment but such periods of change offer opportunities to new entrants in the marketplace."

Partner Jim Morris added the last 12 months has been a "good period" for DTM after it posted a record financial performance.
