Fraser Brown advice kick offs improvement work at Radford FC

Fraser Brown's commercial property team has worked with Radford FC to secure the club's long-term future and improve their facilities.

Graham Green, a partner in the law firm's commercial property department, helped negotiate a new lease with Nottingham City Council to secure the club's future at their ground off Radford Road.

This led to the Pheasants being eligible for the award of a grant from Sport England to use for improvement works to their pitch, training area and pavilion.

The award is part of the Places People Play legacy programme, which is being administered by Sport England in partnership with the British Olympic Association and the British Paralympic Association, with the backing of the London Organising Committee of Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).

Liam Wilkinson, a solicitor at Fraser Brown, worked alongside Graham Green on the transaction. He said: "It is great that the club have secured their lease for the foreseeable future. It is a really positive step forward for the club and I wish them all the best for the future."

Radford chairman Robert Thomas added: "We are so pleased with our award from Sport England. The improvement works to our pitch and facilities will not just help us push on as a club and benefit our players but the local community as well."

Radford FC plays in the East Midlands Counties League.
