Extending support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Shiv Sena on Friday said that he is on Taliban’s hit list because he is a staunch supporter of Hindutva. The party warned the Muslim terror outfit, Taliban, to not cross paths with Mr. Modi.

Following an attack on Wagah border, which killed over 60 people, Mr. Modi had condemned the incident. The Taliban had issued death threat to Mr. Modi citing revenge for the killings of Muslims in Gujarat and Kashmir.

“Children, women and senior citizens are subjected to innumerable atrocities in Pakistan and Afghanistan on the name of Islam. But Talibanis don’t get affected by it. The Muslim terrorist organizations are responsible for bomb blasts in several places in Hindustan, in which several Muslims have also died. Isn’t it illogical for Taliban to condemn the so-called killings of Muslims here,” said an editorial in party mouthpiece Saamna .

The editorial said that terrorist organizations are killing only Muslims in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Libiya and Egypt. “But according to them, those who were killed in Hindustan are Muslims and others are enemies of Allah. This is the misuse of Islam,” it said.

The mouthpiece further said that Mr. Modi has shown his staunch Hindutva stand by doing Ganga Arti, a day after he was sworn in as the PM of this country. “He is not against Muslims. But he is against the special treatment for Muslims. Taliban must not cross paths with Mr. Modi. Our PM’s security cannot be compromised,” the editorial said.
