TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Finnish instant messaging app Jongla has officially entered the Indonesian market. Jongla CEO Riku Salminen said the move was a big step as Indonesia had a potential market.
According to Riku, the potential market is seen from the number of of internet users via mobile devices that continue to grow every year, which is why Jongla is collaborating with operator XL Axiata.
The reason for working with XL Axiata is because the operator has around 58.8 million active users. “The cooperation at least provides convenience to the people of Indonesia in using Jongla,” he said.
Even though Indonesia already has other instant messaging services, Jongla is still optimistic it can attract people to use the app. “We offer more complete, interactive and unique features and platforms,” said Riku.
Some of the features considered as the strength of Jongla are personalized and social ones. “The most unique is the push to talk feature that no other app has,” said Riku, adding that Jongla also has another feature such as interactive stickers able to produce voices. Jongla can be download for free in iOS, Android, Windows and Firefox.
