Donors come forward to sponsor juice boy's education
CHANDIGARH: Amazing things happen when ordinary people perform extra-ordinary work.
Pardeep Kumar, 18, who works at a juice shop and runs two houses after his father passed away, needed money for education.
On Tuesday, a government official approached him and offered job of peon on contract basis.
"Pardeep will get enough time to study. And, he will be encouraged to pursue his education," said the official.
"If he does well in studies, he can apply for other posts," he added.
Other donors too came forward and offered him school books and also books for his sisters. Pardeep, whose mother is a daily wager, interacted with the donors and narrated his hard life which brought tears in many eyes.
An NRI from Australia, who is a Chandigarh resident, assured to help him in his and his sisters' studies.
A member of Veeranwali Trust promised to provide him books and other stationery material.
