The Syndicate, the marketing and promotion company based in Weehawken, N.J., is absorbing public relations company Tijuana Gift Shop and has made the TGS principal Jeff Kilgour VP of PR and artist development at the Syndicate.
Kilgour is bringing over the Tijuana Gift Shop roster, which includes The Revivalists, Faded Paper Figures, Elizabeth & The Catapult, The Dead Daisies, and Mia Dyson, to the Syndicate.
For the Syndicate, Kilgour will oversee its roster of music and comedy PR clients, which includes Andrew W.K., Comedy Central, M For Montreal, Maui Comedy Festival, Comedy Dynamics.
“The Syndicate’s PR department has experienced quite a bit of growth recently,” the Syndicate’s VP of business development, Rev. Moose said in a statement. “With Jeff now at the helm, we will continue to develop the publicity services Matt Kleinschmidt and Zach Shaw have been building here for years. Jeff has a well-deserved reputation amongst the creative community as being hands-on and effective.”
Kilgour will report to the Syndicate partners Tracey Zucatti, Chris Elles and Jon Landman; he will keep his New York office in Manhattan’s financial district while also working out of the Syndicate home office in Weehawken.

The Tijuana Gift Shop operation “is a welcome addition to the Syndicate’s ever-growing roster of musicians, comedians, brands, international conferences and talent festivals across the world,” Moose said.
