MUMBAI: National Social Services (NSS) students from K C College on Wednesday celebrated Children’s Day early and in a unique way. “We usually celebrate the day only with kids, but this time we themed it around women’s right to dignity and invited nurses from Bombay Hospital and Tata Memorial Hospital, and a few cancer patients,” said Aishwarya Menon, one of the organizers.
While several NSS students brought their adopted grandparents from old-age homes for the event, traffic policewomen were also invited.

Meanwhile, students of Hinduja College of Commerce initiated a vehicular rally from the Gateway of India to CST on Wednesday to create awareness on how ambulances should be given way during traffic jams.
