The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), has pipped the other IIMs to be adjudged the best B-School in Central Asia for the seventh consecutive year by Eduniversal, a ranking and rating agency specialised in higher education.
With this, IIMB also remains in the ‘5 Palmes League of Excellence’ – universal business schools with “strong global influence.” The Worldwide Business Schools Rankings for 2014 were announced at the Eduniversal Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony in Istanbul in October.
The Eduniversal Evaluation System (EES) is based on a three-step process that helps the ratings and rankings. This system is supervised by an ‘International Scientific Committee’ which comprises nine independent expert members in each of the nine geographical zones.
The ‘Deans’ Vote’ is one of the major elements of the EES, where the deans and directors of the best 1,000 business schools in the world give their recommendations for each school from the 154 countries.
The number of recommendations gathered will determine the ranking of the schools within each country and Palme league.
This year, the title of ‘The Best Business School in the World’ went to the Copenhagen Business School, Denmark.
