In case you ever wondered where those giant trucks that carry metal on mining fields around the world come from, we’re here to tell you. The idea came to us the moment we stumbled upon the picture above which shows what happens to an older Toyota Celica model when it's accidentally driven on.
To understand the proportion of this incident, we’re going to have to take a little introduction tour first.

BelAZ is a Belorussian manufacturer of haulage and earth-moving equipment based in Zhodzina. The factory opened its door in 1948 and has produced over 120,000 vehicles for use in the Soviet Union. It is also a site for one of the largest Commonwealth of Independent States investment project.

The factory was re-equipped and upgraded

The factory finalized two of the three scheduled phases of the technical re-equipment and upgrades and it is currently serving customers all over the world. The current model range of Belaz trucks go from 30 to 450 tones huge machines.

Good. Now, back to our little incident. First of all, it doesn’t seems like anybody got hurt. In fact, reports are the Toyota was parked and the driver of the truck simply didn’t see it. As far as we can tell, the truck in question is far from being the biggest one in its range, rather a 70t model, but it’s big enough to prove our statement.

The picture was taken in the Russian village near Sortavala, in the Republic of Karelia, located at the northern tip of Lake Ladoga. Apart from the fact that the Toyota rather looks like an ant crushed by a giant, we have to admit it kind of reminds us of the monster truck rallies.
