‘TDP-BJP alliance going smoothly’

November 05, 2014 10:16 pm | Updated 10:16 pm IST - RAJAHMUNDRY:

City MLA Dr. Akula Satyanarayana of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made it clear that the alliance between his party and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was progressing smoothly as the two parties had decided to settle differences, if any, through discussions.

Addressing media conference here on Wednesday, he said that the recent controversy over the comments made by a Minister and reports of his differences with Rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary were like a ‘storm in a tea cup’. He averred that he had no issues with Mr. Gorantla and he wanted to utilise the long experience of his colleague.

Dr. Satyanarayana reminded that the BJP government at the Centre was committed to strengthen the hands of the TDP government in the State and the contribution of the Centre in several schemes had made this evident.

He said there were changes in the political landscape in the State with several leaders of the YSR Congress and few from the Congress willing to join the BJP in the coming days. He asserted that he was not misled by anyone on the sand issue and that he respected all the senior BJP workers and leaders.
